Bramberg, a typical Austrian village

Bramberg is located in a wide, east-west oriented valley. That means taking full adventage of the sun. If you’re more interested in the wild nightlife after skiing or hiking, this may not be the place for you. In Bramberg, cosiness, conviviality and RELAXATION are written in capital letters. The village, which has more than 3000 inhabitants, has a lot of facilities to offer. Hospitable catering where you can have a quick meal, dinner or a drink. World dishes are served, but of course also a traditional Kaiserschmarrn. Bramberg has some nice shops, sports facilities and a school. There is also a doctor and pharmacy. Bramberg and its surroundings is an overall family-oriented area where you can stay in both summer and winter, with many activity options offered for both seasons. An excellent base for nice trips, Zell am See for example. Or Krimmi with its famous waterfalls. Other highlights are the Grossglockner and Grossvenediger, the highest mountain peaks in Austria, belonging to the Hohe Tauern. Wintersport in Bramberg and Kitzbüheler Alpen Tirol

Bramberg belongs to the Wildkogel Arena, a beautiful ski area that the village shares with neighbouring Neukirchen. Bramberg has a modern gondola, the Smaragdbahn, which takes you to 2100 meters in no time. There, you  will find a valley where snow is guaranteed and where the major part of slopes is concentrated. The facilities of this skiing area, think of; lifts, snow cannons, slope preparation, ski bus, mountain restaurants – are perfectly matched. The Wildkogel Arena consists for 85% of blue and red slopes. While the slopes are fairly varied in difficulty, the options for more advanced skiers may be limited. However, more black slopes can be found in nearby ski areas.  If you take the ski lift in the neighbouring village of Hollersbach (5 minutes by car), at the top, you are connected to the ski area of Kitzbühl-Kirchberg. In short: Bramberg am Wildkogel is without a doubt an charming winter sports destination, especially for families with children. You are certainly at the right place in the Wildkogel Resort, located directly opposite the gondala. For the same reason, the Bramberg area might be very interesting to mountain bikers. You can also play tennis, go horseback riding or go canoeing. A flight training school and several golf courses are not too far from Bramberg either.
